Chapter I: General Provisions

Article 1: In order to stimulate the development of the Chinese radio and television programme production industry, standardize management over Sino-foreign joint venture and cooperative radio and television programme production enterprises, according to the provisions of the “Sino-Foreign Joint Venture Business Enterprise Law of the People’s Republic of China”, the “Sino-Foreign Cooperative Business Enterprise Law of the People’s Republic of China” and the “Radio and Television Management Regulations”, etc., these Regulations are formulated.

Notice Concerning Strengthening Foreign Dubbed Radio and Television Broadcast Management

Recently, a number of radio and television broadcasting organs broadcasted foreign radio and television programmes dubbed in local dialects, which violates the important task and mission of radio and television to popularize the use of Putonghua. According to the spirit of the “Radio and television Management Regulations” provision “Radio stations and television stations shall use standardized spoken and written language. Radio stations and television stations shall popularize the nationwide use of Putonghua”, in order to further strengthen foreign dubbed radio and television programme broadcast management work, SARFT notifies relevant matters as follows:

The “Provisional Film Enterprises Business Qualification Entry Regulations” were passed at the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television administration meeting of 15 June 2004, were deliberated and passed by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, are hereby promulgated, and take effect on 10 November 2004.
