Newspaper Publishing Management Regulations

Chapter I: General provisions

Article 1: In order to stimulate the development and flourishing of our country’s newspaper sector, standardize newspaper publishing activities, strengthen newspaper publishing management, on the basis of the State Council “Publishing Management Regulations” and corresponding laws and regulations, these Regulations are formulated.

Article 2: These Regulations apply to engaging in newspaper publishing activities within the borders of the People’s Republic of China.

The “Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate Reply Concerning Relevant Questions on Criminal Cases of Copyright Infringement Involving Audio and Video Works” has been passed at the 1365th meeting of the Trial Committee of the People’s Supreme Court on 26 September 2005, and the 9th meeting of the Tenth Prosecution Committee of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, is now promulgated, and will take effect on 18 October 2005

All provincial, autonomous region and municipal radio, film and television bureaus (offices), the Xinjiang Production-Construction Corps Radio and Television Bureau, the Central People’s Radio Station, the China International Radio Station and China Central Television:

In recent years, radio and television have fully given rein to their own characteristics and superiorities, and have vigorously conducted on-the-spot live reporting from a number of major events, with good effects. On-the-spot live reporting has a strong political and policy nature, operational requirements are very high, only with a little lack of caution, problems may emerge. In order to realistically do radio and television on-the-spot live reporting management work well, and guarantee the correct public opinion orientation, the following is notified:

China Internet Network Copyright Self-Discipline Convention

Article 1: In order to safeguard network copyright, standardize the activities of Internet employees, stimulate the development and use of network information resources, and promote the development of Internet information resources, this Convention is promulgated.
